Anguish; La Decima
Real Madrid’s chance for La Decima were squandered again. To the victor go the spoils, although Real Madrid won today it was not enough for them to advance on aggregate scoring.
Real Madrid played well in the final 10 minutes of the game, but wasted many chances in the first half of the game. Ronaldo was not the Ronaldo that the Bernabeú needed for this occasion.
This season’s Real Madrid has failed on many occasions. Including all but giving up the league trophy, and now losing the semifinal of the Champions League. Many questions are still up and about for the future, but the focus should be on finishing the league strong and winning the Spanish Cup.
Some of the questions being what will be with Mourinho? Will he stay, and if not who will replace him? What about Di María and Higuain? Both have been rumored to be leaving the club this summer? What about Gareth Bale will it be his time to join Los Blanco’s. What about Falcao will he join Real Madrid and if so what will this mean for the strikers on the team. And most importantly of questions is Casillas, a year ago he had completed over 9 consecutive season without missing a start for Real Madrid; will he regain his starting position and will he regain his form.
